Debaser Magazine is happy to bring four great artists to the Strange Fruit Stage later this month!
POP ENTS… The return of John!!
Our fave babes Pop Ents will be playing with an extra little surprise. Original member and all-round legend John will be returning for a one-off show. This will be a special performance for the alt rock lads and not one to be missed.
VARNISH
Over the past year, through approximately 40 live club performances centred on the Seoul underground scene, they have firmly established their unique identity with explosive energy and a raw, unrefined sound. Showcasing a powerful vocal style and a dynamic stage presence that seems set to tear the venue apart, they have been attracting attention in the indie music scene even before the release of their first single.
SANTIAGO NICOLAS (Chile)
Santiago Nicolás is the stage name of Santiago Nicolás González Lihn, a Chilean producer, composer, and artist. Having worked for over a decade across electronic music, experimental sounds, noise, and contemporary song forms, he is set to make his Korean debut with this performance. He has led or participated in projects such as The Deadly Affair, Access Device, and Ángel de la Guarda. Building on this background, he continues to pursue a versatile musical career that constantly crosses boundaries between different musical languages, aesthetics, and genres.
ENGLISH YANGBAN
Part musician, part storyteller, part wandering record collector, English Yangban is best known for his Korean-language YouTube channel about music and culture. At Block Party, an event especially dear to his heart, he’ll be digging into Korea’s psychedelic past, performing his own takes on some of its finest classics.
